Â
Rain tapped the windows in punishing wavesas if the heavens were angry
perhaps they are?
It brought the coloured leaves of autumn
blowing in a scurrying way,
like the small hands of lost waving children,
scudding like thousands of tiny moths,
ginger, red and gold’s mixed in the storm
sodden and sad… Are these the tears of heaven dismayed
at the recent atrocities of the ISILÂ Man? Â The leaden sky poured forth its sadness,
angry rain continued to lash the souls of those
whose evilness betrays the common man.
Black thunderclouds hung distraught and wailing overhead,
my heart felt heavy as far away barbaric wretched deeds
continue.
Are these the tears of Heaven… Â Tell me, are these the tears of Heaven?
Tears of Heaven indeed….. I like this clever connection with the terrible wrong doing. ISIL need to be stopped and destroyed.

Thank you. I believe they will be halted. This has nothing to do with religion, for what God would sanction these evil acts?
Poignant. I do not know how anyone can allow such attrocities not to be punished. The innocence of youth is being betrayed.
How right you are Peter Foster, my heart bleeds for those families affected by this utter carnage. The slaughter of innocents and of those left behind who are denied the joys of childhood in this unbelievable abhorrent act of cruelty. Thank you for your comment.
Amen to your words, Susie.
Thank you Sian.
