In this peaceful part of the world my beloved lies amongst friends. Under the twinkling night stars of this beautiful small village and during the day nestled in this tranquil setting and in the sight of God is his final resting place. It is right and fitting. Amen.
* The Ankh cross also known as crux anasta is the ancient Egyptian hieroglyph meaning life. The loop part having neither beginning nor end, so representing the eternal soul.

Beautiful memorial stone. Love the tranquil setting, ankh cross, area for live flowers, and of course, “Beloved”. Thank you for giving us a glimpse of this peaceful place in your world.
Susie,
How utterly perfect, and so very much in keeping with the other memorials situated there……..
It’s lovely Susie, so understated and elegant. Perfectly in keeping with a lovely old graveyard. 😀
Elegant and tender; a fitting memorial for the man who seemed to personify those traits… lovely…
It looks like a lovely peaceful place to go and reflect. I agree with having a rule about the headstones. We are having to put up with huge, vulger almost tombs that the travellers put up,the powers that be are trying to bring in a similar rule. Truely beautiful, says it all……
Thank you kind people for your generous comments. The plot is looking much nicer now, with the grass trimmed a bit more and today I placed in the holders some beautiful deep red ‘Pom Pom’ dahlias grown in my sister Jenny’s garden. We were thrilled with the colour against the blue of the marble and the black of the lettering. In the winter month I will place dark green and hollie berries. Yes it is nice to have this place to go chat with him x
