Breathe in breathe out shattered heart.
Lay waste to no one,
find your way.
Do not shelter in that room.
Do not shiver, when those feelings loom.
Shine for him, shine for him…
Breathe in breathe out shattered heart.
Ignore those salty tears
that fall uninvited.
Find your way from pining.
Climb from deep despair.
Come,
shine for him.
Do not shudder heart but
dance and sing!
Push back that island of loneliness
Accept,
survive.
Accept
and survive.

Thank you margie – praise indeed from such a writer as you xoxox
Oh I really like this, Susie. It speaks to where I am right now myself. “Shine for him … accept and survive.” This will be my new affirmation. Bless you, my dear kindred spirit.
Finally took a little time to read your newest poems and blog. So good to see that your are still allowing God to use you to comfort others in your very special way, as only you know just how they feel. Hoping you find joy in whatever direction you head, taking your wonderful memories with you. – God Bless
Thank you dear Dianne – we really are travelling this road together and with patience and acceptance, we will shine for them and I am sure they will be mighty proud. Peace and blessings dear friendx
What a beautiful expression of what your mind must tell your heart! My daughter’s friend lost her baby boy at 25 weeks gestation and she is devastated and must force herself to just breathe. I will share your poem with her as she struggles to accept, survive and climb from deep despair. Thank you for blessing others as you walk the road before you…
Through your words you are growing,in so many different ways, its like being reborn,to breathe. I hope we will be seeing a new book of poems before to long,Susie. God bless you and yours, love Karen xxxx
Thank you dear Linda – I am so sorry to read of this sad loss and how very difficult it must be for this young lady to overcome her sadness. Such grief does seem to take your breath away. How often I felt I could not breathe without such intense overwhelming pain, but breathe we do and in time peace is found – Blessings and prayers.
Dear Karen,
Thank you for your constant support. I am talking about a new book – we shall see x
Sending all my very best wishes and love, hoping that life is not too painful and that you are managing. Always in my prayers X
Hi Minna,
Thank you for taking time from your busy life to place your lovely comment here. It was most special to hear from you again.
If I could comfort just one person with my words and for them to know that there IS hope after losing your ‘most special person’ then this would make me very happy indeed. Blessings dear friend X
Best Yet.
“Shine for him, Shine for him” should be the title of the next book.
Thank you publisher Matt – You have the best thoughts x
There is a certain solace and peace in your poems. You spur your readers to hope and renewal – to breathe on. So comforting. Be comforted yourself, my dear.
Thank you Lileng for taking time to comment here.
It would indeed be something to think my words might help spur others to hope and renewal after bereavement.
“A Certain Solace” now that is a lovely title for a poem! Blessings dear lady.
Outstanding, as always, and an inspiration….
Should have read this sooner… But I like it. And the title – perfectly appropriate.
Peace, my dear friend.
You DO shine!!!
